Region 97's G12U EXTRA Team continued their winning ways by completing an undefeated season in Flight 1 of the Section 11 EXTRA Program this fall.

The Newport Crushers added this fall season title to their other championship accomplishments in 2019. The Crushers started the year by winning the HI 5 EXTRA Tournament in January. They followed that championship by winning the Area Q Spring Select Championship in dominating fashion. Prior to the start of this fall's Extra Season, the Crushers also took home the 2019 McMillan Tournament Title with an undefeated run.

2019 has seen the Crushers compile a record of 26 wins, 1 loss and 4 ties in Extra Competition, outscoring their opponents 104 goals for, and 18 goals against.

The Crushers are coached by Jeff Grant and Kirk McIntosh. The squad members are - Georgia Blue, Emmi Carlson, Lauren Frandson, Finley Johnson, Sunny Koop, Sophia Markovsky, Brooke Mehanna, Caroline Morehouse, Ella Olson, Leah Showalter, Claire Standish and their outstanding goalkeeper Madison Tetzlaff.
